To all nanoguys around the world: Congratulations !

You are on the way to save the Professor, some of you will go to Japan and I bet the others will be helping and supporting them (we'll keep doing small competitions open to everybody). The show in Yokohama will be worth it, that is for sure, but before getting there, here is a quick snapshot of the results for the first 2 rounds:

- Round1: You've been around 1500, coming from more than 70 countries, to submit a dll !!!!
- Round2: We are still compiling the results but I can already tell you that around 300 of you submitted a dll. It was very time consuming to anticipate the fact that you'll be 2 players per game. I know it is a never ending task to enhanced your strategy and it always seems that you'd need more time to make your AI better but hey, this is training for saving the Professor ;-). With all the time and passion you put in your AI, no doubts that you'll be able to help Ori.

I'd like to finish saying that we've seen all kind of involvment in Project Hoshimi: some of you created very sophisticaed AI, others created tools for developing AI, others loved the story... and a few of you even got into the manga. I hope you all had fun creating your first AIs. One of the most amazing thing is how you share you experience and help each other on the hub : this is the "nano-spirit" !

Finale française d'Imagine Cup : 21 avril

Messieurs (et mesdemoiselles, si si il y en a) qui êtes à fond dans Project Hoshimi, vous pouvez bloquer la soirée du 21 avril dans vos agendas. C'est la date à laquelle aura lieu la finale française qui départagera les 8 meilleures équipes d'étudiants et les 8 meilleures équipes de lycéens.

Elle aura lieu au Wax, à Paris, dans une ambiance manga, de 19h à 23h et même plus tard pour ceux qui veulent...

Au programme :
- les matches des 2 poules de 4 pour chaque catégories, puis les 1/2 finales, la finale et la petite finale.
- mais aussi : des XBOX sur écrans géants, DJ, de trés bonnes choses à manger et à boire, et quelques animations surprises.
- cette finale sera animée par la chaîne télé Game One et sera diffusée à la télé quelques semaines plus tard.

Vous vous en doutez, les places sont limitées. Voici ce que je vous propose:
- Bien entendu les 32 finalistes, seront invités tous frais payés - transport + hotel - à la finale. Attention : ils seront avertis quelques jours avant par email, deadline du 15 avril oblige, donc bloquez bien la date.
- Pour les autres je vous réserve d'ors et déjà 30 places à la soirée. Elles seront pour les premiers inscrits sur : http://www.project-hoshimi.com/france/finale/ . S'il reste d'autres places je les annoncerai ici sur le hub.

Ori... the nice and sweet Ori is back on track! After 3 months she is gonna rock Imagine Cup's world! How do you guys like this new pic ? We've been thinking to the next episode of the manga with Richard, around a good bottle of water of course. Ok we've got the story lined up since the beginning but so much things could happen with the new nanoguys! Tell us how you see the next epidose. Afterall you are part of the story too!

Hello Visual Gamers,

Based on your remarks, we are going to release sooner more documentation:
- SDK detailled overview
- Tutorial Level 2 in C#
- Tutorial Level 2 in VB.NET
Most of them are actually done with our english-as-a-foreign-language english, they are now in proof-reading ;-). Cyril is the tech writer boss!

Aras also released a top new 3D engine which will be available in download next week.

Finally, something very important to know is that you need to close the VG Viewer when compiling you DLL in order to not to have errors. This is a choice made by Richard Clark, creator of the Game, for performance reasons.

Bon, faisons un petit bilan des nouveaux mots qui nous ont creusés la tête ces derniers temps avec l'équipe:

- Visual Gaming est la catégorie d'Imagine Cup (jusqu'ici ça va).
- Project Hoshimi est le nom du jeu vidéo (non commercialisé) que nous sommes en train de constuire spécialement pour Visual Gaming.
- Professor Hoshimi est le chercheur, dans le scenario du jeu, qui a fait une découverte extraordinaire ...
- NanobioTech est l'organisation pour laquelle travaille le professeur Hoshimi
- Les Nanobots, ou nano-robots, sont des robots microscopiques qui peuvent être injectés dans les vaisseaux sanguins. Vous programmerez leur strategie et leur comportement.
- Ori... euh vous la connaissez déjà non?

okay, so let's discover and make a summary of the new words that have been the world of the team for the last 3 months:
- Visual Gaming is the invitational (so far so good).
- Project Hoshimi is the name of the non commercial video game been built for Visual Gaming.
- Professor Hoshimi is the researcher in the game scenario who made an extraordinary discovery...
- NanobioTech is the company for which Professor Hoshimi is working
- Nanobots or nano-robots are microscopic robots injected into blood vessels. You'll be programming their strategy and behaviour
- Ori... well, you know her already!
