A recent study commissioned by the Queensland Government and the International Education Association of Australia found that that six in 10 employers regarded the experience of overseas study as offering a "unique, competitive" advantage to a graduate's resume. This advantage is enhanced when the overseas experience complements a specialist degree.
Among the multinational firms surveyed, 70 per cent described international experience as an "exceptional asset" in the portfolio of a prospective employee, as did more than half the national employers.
