Singapore Airlines Girls

This arvo I passed the Swissotel and I saw a group of Singapore Airlines cabin crews leaving the hotel to a bus, probably to the airport. I felt a sense of nationalistic pride when I see them. How pretty our Singapore Airlines girls are :) They are so charming in their kabaya and their presentation. No wonder, so many people choose to fly with SIA.

Singapore Airlines - a great way to fly :)

I have never flown SA but from what I read they take customer service very seriously. Apparently it takes a couple of years experience before a flight attendent can work in first class for example.

Singapore Airlines (SIA/SQ) has extremely strict service quality standards and procedures. There is an exact timing for everything, things like when the first welcome drink must be served, when the hot towers must go out, the manner how the cabin crew should do their hair, the colour of their make-up, every meaty gritty is considered and formalised.

Yes, the stewardress in red kabaya (the most senior, usually in their late 20- early 30s) staff member only serves the first and business class passengers. Economy class passengers will occasionally see the green and usually the trademark blue stewardess.

The management takes customers feedback very seriously. They have an point-like system. Every negative feedback for a particular staff member is throughly investigated and remarked in their personal file. Likewise, every compliment is also recorded. But a postive comment would not overlapped a bad one.

I got a few friends working for SIA :P that's why I know a bit about their SOP (standard operating procedures).
